In which LipDub’s have the power to turn an abstract institution into a group of people just like you and where cynicism is washed away while watching kids dance and sing or a hospital janitor dance with his mop and you just wish all corporations would just drop the $100m ad budgets and cut checks to charities and produce silly LipDubs of their employees and CXOs dancing to I Gotta Feeling so the curtain drops and you realize these people aren’t evil and maybe it’s just the systems around us that are evil and we can change the system without vilifying the people and we can actually move forward with real changes, and how this all relates to the big arching themes in The Wire and The Health Care Debate, institution vs individual, and but so the feeling experienced while all this washes over you turns into a yearning pain for it all to come true, so sick and tired are you of Talking Heads and Talking Points and Right/Left and Pointless Ideologies.
